Textron Aviation Achieves NATA
Sustainability Recognition
All 20 Textron Aviation service centers around the world have achieved
certification as part of the National Air Transportation Association's
(NATA's) Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses in recognition
of the company's sustainability efforts. Textron Aviation says it is
the first aircraft original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to receive
this certification confirming sustainable practices in use and the
largest company with multiple locations to self-certify each site. " This
recognition affirms that we are on the right path towards achieving
our sustainability goals, " said Brian Rohloff, senior vice president,

FAA Modernizes Aviation
Maintenance Technician School
Curriculum Requirements
A new rule from the FAA will improve and modernize
the training requirements for aviation maintenance
technician schools (AMTS). This will ensure
that new aviation technicians learn
from curriculums that align with
current industry standards. " These
improvements will help us educate
the future workforce and meet the
demands of the evolving aviation
community, " said FAA Deputy
Administrator A. Bradley Mims. The
previous requirements for AMTS were almost 50 years
old, which limited schools from aligning curriculums
with modern industry standards. The new rule will
enable schools to teach students with a curriculum
that incorporates new innovations and technologies.
In the Aircraft Certification, Safety, and Accountability
Act of 2020, Congress directed the FAA to adopt new
requirements for issuing AMTS certificates and the
associated ratings. This rule adopts those requirements
and revises the general operating rules for the holders
of AMTS certificates and ratings. The final rule takes
effect 120 days after it published in the Federal Register.

Honda Aircraft Company Expands Customer
Service Capability as HondaJet Fleet Grows
Honda Aircraft Company announced the addition of four new fullservice
Authorized Service Centers, expanding the HondaJet service
network to 21 locations worldwide. The new service centers will
further strengthen the customer support capabilities for the growing
HondaJet fleet, now comprised of more than 219 aircraft in operation.
The expansion includes two new centers in the U.S., increasing to
12 the number of Honda Factory and Authorized Service Centers in
North America. New Authorized Service Centers for the HondaJet:
* Hillsboro Aviation, based at the Portland-Hillsboro Airport
(KHIO) outside of Portland, Oregon, is authorized for service
in the Northwest region of the United States.
* Mather Aviation, LLC., located at Mather Airport (KMHR) outside
of Sacramento, California, provides service in the region
of Central and Northern California.
* Dviation Technics Sdn. Bhd., based in the state of Selangor,
Malaysia, is the exclusive HondaJet Authorized Service Centre
(ASC) for the Southeast Asia region. With this partnership, the
HondaJet owners and operators in the region will have access
to the full spectrum of technical support delivered by its new
business unit: KarbonMRO.
* Signature TECHNICAir., based at Bournemouth Airport
(EGHH) in Bournemouth, United Kingdom, will provide
HondaJet service for the UK and Western Europe. This addition
doubles the Honda Authorized Service Centers in Europe.

technicians available at each of the 21 locations. " In addition, Honda
Aircraft Company maintains an outstanding level of service at its
Factory Service Center, recently awarded by FAA with the " Diamond
level AMT employer award, " the highest level in the William (Bill)
O'Brien Aviation Maintenance Technician Awards program.
