Burns & McDonnell Names Chris Spann National
Director of Aviation
Burns & McDonnell has named Chris Spann as the new
national director of aviation. In this role, Spann will lead
and provide strategic vision for the company's aviation
Spann steps into this position with more than 35 years
in the aviation industry. He is deeply experienced in the
consulting world, having served in a multitude of roles from
design engineer to national practice lead. His expansive list
of projects range in size from general aviation paving projects
to billion-dollar terminal redevelopment programs at major
U.S. airports.

Jet Aviation acquires Arlin's Aircraft Service
FBO Operation in Bozeman
Jet Aviation has acquired Arlin's FBO operations located
at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport in Mont.
Bozeman Airport serves the Yellowstone Club, Big Sky
Resort and Yellowstone National Park.
The acquisition continues Jet Aviation's strategic global
FBO network expansion, particularly in the Western
United States. The Bozeman FBO, which will operate as
Jet Aviation Bozeman, has been providing ground handling
services since 1979, including fueling, de-icing, hangarage
and office space. With the acquisition, Jet Aviation acquires
all assets of the FBO operation, in addition to its employees.

Sheltair Unveils New Denver FBO Terminal and
Hangar Complex
Sheltair announced the opening of its new FBO and
hangar complex at the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan
Airport (BJC) in Broomfield, Colo.
It features a 10,400-square-foot FBO terminal, nearly 11
acres of ramp space, and a 31,050-square-foot large cabin class
size hangar with attached 4,455 square feet of office space that
will serve the local users, business and destination traffic to
the Denver area.
The new facility marks Sheltair's first FBO presence west
of the Mississippi, reflecting the continued strength of a familyowned company that has grown an excellent reputation for
service and safety throughout the Eastern United States for
more than 30 years.

RFD Breaks Ground on 90,000-Square-Foot
International Cargo Facility
The Chicago Rockford International Airport announced
Oct. 13, it has begun
construction on a new
90,0 0 0 -square-foot
I nter n at ion a l Ca rgo
Facility. The building is
Phase 1 of a two-phase
cargo building expansion. The modern cargo facility is
expected to be complete and open by the summer.
The airport recently concluded negotiations with
international freight forwarders and airline operators which
will cause a significant increase in heavy cargo operations, both
scheduled and non-scheduled, at RFD. Emery Air, located on
the airport grounds, will be the company performing ground
handling operations.

Rashed Islam Named HDR's Central Region
Transportation Director
Rashed Islam, P.E., PTOE, ENV SP, has accepted
a new role as HDR's Central Region
transportation director. The region stretches
from Canada to Mexico and spans the U.S.
from Indiana to the Rocky Mountains in

coordinate HDR's transportation work,
involving highways and roads, transit, aviation,
ports and maritime, freight rail and federal

Mohave County Airport Authority Announces
New Manager of Airport Fire & Operations
The Mohave County Airport Authority named Mansour
Richa as the new manager of airport fire & operations
for the Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport (IFP).
As a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps with knowledge
in planning, developing and implementing fire department
guidelines, procedures and policies, Richa brings eight years
of leadership experience to this position.
Richa will have overall responsibility of the airport
firefighters and operations staff along with oversight of the
day-to-day airport operations. He will also plan, train and
schedule staff, and coordinate and organize preparedness
for emergency responses, including emergency response to
aircraft incidents, medical emergencies and fire suppression
along with many other emergency responses outlined in the
Airport Emergency Plan (AEP).
