Sheltair Opens its 19th FBO at Orlando
Melbourne International Airport (MLB)
Sheltair announced the addition of its 19th full-service
FBO as it acquired Apex Executive Jet Center at Orlando
Melbourne International Airport (MLB) and now available
to serve its customers effective April 23.
Sheltair's newest location was permitted on March 24,
with the approval of the Melbourne Airport Authority. In
less than 30 days, the company moved quickly to open the
doors to its new MLB FBO complex. The family-owned
company will retain the Apex Executive Jet Center team,
including the respected leadership of General Manager Jamie
Toler, Customer Service Manager Jessica Blews and Line
Service Manager Adam Morrow.

Zapp is a forward-thinking leader and collaborator
and brings a strong enterprise technology background
to MHT. Most recently, he worked for the MITRE
Corp. as director of information technology where he
led a $30 million enterprise shared service IT division.
Previously he was the chief engineer, enterprise
applications for MITRE. He has also worked for
MERCK Corp. where he managed a team responsible for the
global implementation and operation of software applications.

Tucson Airport Authority Promotes Allen
Kinnison to Director of Airside Operations
Allen Kinnison has been promoted to director of airside
operations for the Tucson Airport Authority.
In his new role, Kinnison oversees the day-to-day
airside operations at both Tucson International
Airport (TUS) and Ryan Airfield (RYN). This
includes the management of the Airside Operations
Department, tasked with ensuring compliance with
federal regulations, coordination with airport users
and stakeholders, coordination of airfield construction
and myriad of other airfield projects and activities.

City of Chico Announces New Airport Manager
The city of Chico named Thomas Bahr as airport manager
for the Chico Municipal Airport (CIC). In this
role, Bahr will be responsible for managing
and directing airport operations, maintenance,
const ruct ion,
economic development,
marketing and long-term planning activities for
CIC. He began his new position on April 12.
Bahr brings more than 11 years of aviation
and airport experience to this position, including
11 years as a pilot. Bahr most recently worked
for the city of Show Low in Arizona, where he
served as airport manager. Previously, he was the
adjunct professor of aviation for Utah Valley University. He
has also worked for Diamond Flight Center in Utah.

The City of Manchester Announces New
Assistant Airport Director of Information
Technology & Cybersecurity
The city of Manchester has named Frederick Zapp as assistant
airport director of information technology and cybersecurity
(CIO/CISO) for the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport

RST Breaks Ground on $79.2 Million Runway
Improvements Project
Rochester International Airport (RST) broke ground on
Phase 1 of construction on RST's runway improvements
project on May 7.

Funding a large project requires
great collaboration at the federal,
state and local levels, " said John
Reed, RST's executive director.
" Reconstruction of Runway 2/20 kicks off today, resulting
