TSA Highlights IND's
Gold-Standard Security Model
Officials with the Transportation Security Administration
(TSA) hosted high-level aviation officials from the
Philippines for two weeks of training in Indianapolis, part
of an international partnership aimed at improving security
at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL).
" TSA Indiana is thrilled to partner with Indianapolis
Airport Authority (IAA) and other local stakeholders
to showcase the top-tier security practices in place at
Indianapolis International Airport and help our international
partners acquire useful knowledge they can apply back
home in the Philippines, " TSA Indiana Federal Security
Director Aaron Batt said.
The IND-MNL Airport Partnership Program is the
first of its kind, although TSA could expand the program
in the future to include other domestic and international
airports. The initiative is designed to facilitate the
exchange of information, best practices, lessons learned,
and airport-to-airport technical assistance to achieve both
domestic and international benefits.

Munich Airport NJ Names New CEO
Munich Airport NJ LLC, the operator of
the new Terminal A at Newark Liberty
International Airport, announces Michael
Kunz is the company's new chief executive
officer.
" As well-respected senior executive
with an extensive knowledge and great
hands-on mentality, he is the perfect fit to lead Munich
Airport NJ's next chapter of growth and success, " said Dr.
Lutz Weisser, managing director at the operator's parent
company Munich Airport International.
Kunz has a longstanding and broad career in the aviation
sector. At Fraport, AG he was not only in charge
of management contracts in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, but
also responsible for all international consulting projects. He
held management positions at the operation company of
Klagenfurt Airport and Dornier Consulting International.
Most recently, Kunz served as associate partner and
head of the Infrastructure & Operations Solution Group
at Lufthansa Consulting.
