ERIN CROOP

Marketing Coordinator, Base Operations at Page Field

E

rin Croop decribes herself as a go-getter,
serving as the marketing coordinator for
Page Field airport and the airport's FBO, Base
Operations. The job has Croop putting her
lifelong interest in aviation to good
use.
"I've always liked airplanes.
As a kid, I spent summers f lying
from Atlanta, Georgia down
to Fort Lauderdale to visit my
grandparents. It was always so
exciting to step aboard a plane
and see the world from a different
perspective," recalled Croop.
Croop has designed a series of imaginative
programs that have taken the FBO and airport
branding to a new level. She's independently
written, designed and launched comprehensive
initiatives, which span all of the airport's
marketing activities such as print, digital,
email, web and industry events - including a
full rewrite and redesign of the FBO website.

I love being around the aircraft
and the people.
Her marketing efforts helped the airport
and FBO experience significant growth
in both operations and revenues. She is the
lead coordinator for Aviation Day, a free
community event that brings an average of
5,000 people out to the airport to learn about
and experience aviation each year. Croop is also
a strong proponent for community service and
organizes nearly 30 educational airport tours
per year for children and adults, including a
high school STEM tour each spring.
Outside of her job, Croop volunteers her
time in many roles, including vice chair for the
NBAA Young Professionals Council and Lee
County Port Authority Employee Recognition
Program Committee.

Alma Mater: Berea, Kentucky. Berea is a private, liberal arts
college where you earn your education through its work program.
It's a well-respected, academically challenging school and I wish
more higher learning institutions would follow their example.
Fun fact about myself: My family has quite an aviation
background. Both of my grandfathers flew bombers in WWII, my
brother is a Chief Master Sergeant in the Air Force, my husband
also works at an airport, and our son's name is Embry. Can you
guess where my husband went to school?
Favorite aircraft: Corsair
Are you a pilot?: No
Someone I look up to in the industry: Joanna Geraghty,
President and COO of JetBlue. It's great to see a female leading
one of the top airlines in the country, and she has worked her
way through the organization in a variety of roles. That firsthand
experience is so important as a leader, in terms of relating to your
employees and customers
My favorite thing about aviation is: Being able to connect
people around the world! Aviation is such an important part of
our global community. I love that it brings us all together safely
and efficiently
If I could change one thing about the aviation industry: I
would bring to light the impact general aviation and business
aviation have on our transportation system
