A HEALTHY ECONOMY ENABLES A
HEALTHY OCS INDUSTRY

Nearly three-quarters of OCS providers reported an increase in sales,
trending with last year's results (chart
2). Fewer noted a decline in sales,
and more said that sales remained the
same. Many OCS providers said that
their growth directly correlated to the
health of the economy and low unemployment, and was further augmented
by sales of additional services and
adjusting their product mix more than
in previous years. This was attributed
to a variety of reasons, including the
fact that consumers are more educated
about coffee and demand specific
products, and that premium options
(like bean-to-cup brewers) are now
more affordable.
