What's new in products for a more efficient fleet operation.

Offering year-round performance
in all environments
The Petro-Canada Lubricants TRAXON
Synthetic 75W-85 is designed to provide fleets
with enhanced efficiency and long-lasting wear protection that can extend equipment life and reduce
unplanned downtime and associated maintenance
costs. Offering year-round performance in the
harshest environments, TRAXON Synthetic 75W-85
provides easier start-ups and improved cold weather shifting for manual transmissions, hypoid gears,
and rear axles, says the company. The low viscosity hypoid gear oil is designed to meet API Gear
Lubricant Service GL-5 and API MT-1 Gear Lubricant
standards and MACK GO-J for heavy duty manual
transmissions. It is also approved against the SAE
J2360 Global Standard. TRAXON Synthetic 75W-85
is suitable for use where Volvo 1273,12 (97312) and
Meritor 0-76-J specifications are required.

Streamlines truck and RV repair
The PPG AdjustRite is a logic-based estimating
platform that features the use of the actual truck
and RV model information. The system assesses
the overall repair requirements and produces
detailed estimates based on an all-inclusive database of parts, repair information, and logic. The
system also has the ability to decode chassis
characteristics. The AdjustRite system can store
and manage customer and parts unit information,
making it available for later reference. It can also set
up rate profiles for different classes of customers.
It searches a continuously updated parts database
to price and locate parts and ultimately generate an
accurate estimate. The AdjustRite system can also
facilitate parts procurement and assist in resolving
subrogation matters.

Offers faster transmission
of the brake demand
The Bendix Tractor-Trailer Controller Area
Network (TT-CAN) is being added to the company's TABS-6 Advanced multichannel trailer roll stability system. In a tractor-trailer electronic braking
system (EBS), the TT-CAN electronically transmits
brake demand from the tractor to the trailer, resulting in a faster transmission of the brake demand,
potentially reducing stopping distance and improving brake feel. Other features of EBS and TT-CAN
include optimization of brake force distribution
between the tractor and trailer; the ability to control various functions from the cab of the tractor,
such as lift- and steer-axle control; and improved
data sharing between the tractor and the trailer.

Ultra-compact and high-output LEDs for dry vans
The Phillips Industries PERMALITE XB Corner Cargo
Lamp is an interior lighting solution designed specifically
for dry vans. The lamp can be easily retrofitted to the inside
of a dry van as it does not require a ceiling pan or conduits.
The PERMALITE XB has high power diodes, emits 1,200 lm,
and can work with body-heat activated motion sensors.
The lamps are angled for best light projection over the load
and floor, and the corner mounting protects them from
potential damage. The circuit boards have a waterproof
coating to protect the lamps from moisture. The design
allows daisy-chaining the lamps to fully illuminate a trailer
while minimizing voltage drop.
