What's new in products for more efficient fleet operation.
Provides live access to extended
vehicle diagnostic data
The Continental Autodiagnos Drive is a remote
vehicle data solution designed to deliver advanced
diagnostic information that service providers, fleet
managers, and repair facilities can use to maximize
their data-driven services. The easy-to-install, plugand-play
technology provides users with live access
to extended vehicle diagnostic data for all popular
makes and models of passenger cars, light trucks,
and commercial vehicles. Autodiagnos Drive helps
customers increase productivity, reduce downtime,
enhance customer service, and gain better insights
into the condition of the vehicles they service or
manage. The system will also help them to quickly
provide vehicle owners with reliable and up-to-date
information about their vehicle's health and performance
parameters.

Extends the capability of J1708/
J1587 diagnostic tools
The Universal J560 PLC Adapter, No. 604020,
from NEXIQ Technologies now interfaces with all
WABCO PLC trailer brakes. In addition, it's field-updatable.
Users can connect the J560 PLC Adapter
to a vehicle between the tractor and the trailer, or
to the trailer alone without the tractor. The product
extends the capability of J1708/J1587 diagnostic
tools to support J2497 Power Line Carrier (PLC)
communication. It extracts data from the power
line and converts it to J1708. It can be used with
a generic ABS diagnostic software application to
detect ABS warning light messages coming from the
trailer ECU, test in-cab trailer ABS warning lamps,
and test SAE J1708 MID 10 and 11 messages and
J1787 MIDs 136 through 139.

Equipped with TracKing telematics
The Precedent S-750i Trailer Refrigeration
Unit from Thermo King features enhanced operational
efficiencies of the Precedent platform and
introduces several new first use features. These
include a three-speed engine; a next-generation
control system; and a diesel electric architecture
optimized for shore power integration, which
makes the S-750i an ideal investment for customers
using or considering shore power operation
long term. Utilizing the S-Series engine, the
S-750i meets current and proposed California Air
Resources Board Ultra-Low Emission Transport
Refrigeration Unit emissions without the use of a
DPF. Every S-750i trailer unit also comes equipped
with TracKing telematics. Telematics can help fleet
owners monitor temperature, offers rapid alarm
detection and security alerts when the doors are
opened, and detects fuel loss.

Limits aerodynamic drag
The Aerodynamic Steer Cover from Alcoa
Wheel Products features a patent-pending design
that is engineered specifically to push air away
from the tire/wheel and vehicle, limiting aerodynamic
drag. Backed by rigorous testing, including
Computational Fluid Dynamics, wind tunnel, and
test track analysis, the cover enhances performance
as compared to a full-wheel cover or no
cover at all. Features and benefits include verified
fuel savings of up to 0.35 gallons of fuel per 1,000
miles; estimated $120 annual fuel savings per truck
based on 100,000 miles per year; two-year warranty;
compatible with all 10 by 285.75mm bolt circle
wheels; and a durable retention system. Available
in matte black and chrome finishes.

Ideal for drop-deck and heavyhaul
trailer applications
The 121T Regional Trailer Tire from Yokohama
Tire is specifically engineered for trailer use only.
The 121T is severe snow service-rated in all weather
conditions and is offered in sizes 215/75R17.5
and 235/75R17.5. Its tread pattern and rigid
shoulder design are ideal for use in drop-deck and
heavy-haul trailer applications. The three-groove
tread pattern assures reduced rolling resistance
and pattern noise for a quiet, fuel-efficient ride.
Serpentine grooves remove water from beneath
the tread and maximize traction on wet and snowy
roads. Concave lug features provide additional traction
under wet or slippery conditions. The ridged
shoulder design reduces the chances for shoulder
step-down wear and improves straight line stability.
The funnel-shaped step grooves prevent stones
and debris from reaching the bottom of the groove
where casing damage occurs.

Available in 12V, 24V, and 48V systems
The T.A.G. (Trailer Auxiliary Generator)
System from Green Road Energy Inc. is
designed to provide a charging platform for any
auxiliary power need on trailers, such as liftgates,
motorized pallet movers, lights, pumps,
etc. Designed as a horizontal-axis wind turbine,
the setup allows for the wind developed as the
truck and trailer are moving to be captured by the
high-solidity blade that spins the generator. The
T.A.G. System is designed to be installed under
the trailer, making the process of battery charging
self-contained to the trailer as there are no connections
or cables to the cab. The T.A.G. System
is available in 12V, 24V, and 48V systems with amp
output at 25-50+ (generator dependent).
