Lowers operational costs by reducing diesel APU run time
Thermo King ThermoLite Solar Panels help lower operational costs by
reducing diesel APU run time by 20 to 30 percent, extending battery life to
five-plus years, and help match auxiliary power unit (APU) and tractor preventive
maintenance, the company says. Solar power offers many benefits for fleets running
without APUs, such as reducing jump starts and road calls, powering diesel-fired heaters, keeping tractor batteries healthy, and making sure electronics stay powered up even over the weekend.
The high-efficiency solar cells produce abundant power, even in low-light conditions.

Virtually powers any electronic device
The Eaton True Sine Wave Inverter is designed to provide clean, reliable AC power in a
commercial truck application. The inverter is able to power all electrical loads up to 1,800W;
including sleep apnea machines, tools, motors, and other demanding electrical devices. When
shore power is available, a built-in 20A relay will automatically transfer to incoming AC utility
power. This feature minimizes battery discharge and provides seamless integration with the
electrical system, eliminating the need for an external transfer switch.

Produces heat without idling vehicle
The Eberspaecher Airtronic Air Heaters operate like forced air furnaces
utilizing the vehicle's own fuel and power supply to produce heat without
idling the vehicle. Heaters operate quietly and cycle through four output
levels to provide the optimum temperatures at all times. The three air
heaters (D2, D4, and D5) are suitable for a variety of applications but are
especially well suited for cab and sleeper heat in Class 8 trucks, workshop
vehicles, and freight compartments. The units are easy to install and maintain,
have built-in self-diagnostics, and are EPA verified and CARB compliant.

Provides emissions-free truck cooling
The ComfortPro Electric Auxiliary Power Unit
(APU) from Carrier Transicold provides quiet, emissions-free truck cab cooling while delivering a long
run-time. This APU is powered by four Group 31 AGM
batteries charged by the truck's alternator. The APU
provides 7,500 BTU/hour of air conditioning for up to
11 hours. With a simple design and only a few moving
parts, there is no engine-related maintenance such
as oil, fuel, or air filter changes, according to the company. This unit is easy to install and can help reduce
truck engine idling, helping drivers comply with local
and regional anti-idling regulations while saving fuel
and reducing engine wear.

Enhances combustion in diesel engines
FuelLIFT is a green, non-hazardous, non-abrasive, and non-toxic
fuel catalyst that enhances combustion in diesel engines. FuelLIFT
has an extended shelf life of five
years, and provides consistent
fuel savings with proprietary
ingredients and reduced emissions, the company says. This
product is highly concentrated; 1
oz of FuelLIFT treats 64 gallons of
diesel fuel.

For battery and cabin heating
The BorgWarner High Voltage Coolant Heater is
designed to keep the core components
of hybrid and pure electric vehicles at temperatures that facilitate maximum charging efficiency, durability, and driving range.
It delivers heat to the interior
quickly and clears the
ice from windows
quickly. The coolant heater features
a compact modular design with high thermal power
density and a fast response time (heating up/cooling
down) due to low thermal mass and high efficiency.

Compatible with dry vans and
refrigerated trailers
The Utility Aerodynamic Tail is designed to
reduce fuel use and aerodynamic drag. The trailer
tail was engineered and tested to meet strict Utility
operational requirements. The device is CARB
and Canadian EPA compliant. Weighing 25 lbs and
compatible with dry vans and refrigerated trailers
with rear swing doors, this unit is constructed of a
UV-protected thermoplastic composite and comprised of two full height side fairings and one full
width roof fairing. The side fairings are connected to
the rear swing doors. Using standard opening procedures for the rear swing doors, this unit automatically
deploys when the doors are closed and folds back
when the doors are open, with no additional driver
involvement necessary. The roof fairing does not
interfere with lock rods or rear light areas, and meets
all DOT Photometric requirements.

Travels with trailer suspension
The FlowBelow Trailer AeroSlider mounts directly to the sliding trailer suspension and travels with
the suspension. The AeroSlider consists of multiple
components, including 'quick release' wheel covers,
fairings positioned between and behind the trailer
wheels, and aerodynamic mud flaps. The fairings
help control the complex airflow around the trailer
wheels and the wake behind the trailer. The system
is designed to complement other trailer-mounted
aerodynamic devices such as trailer skirts and tails.
This system was developed using computational
fluid dynamics and rolling-floor wind tunnel testing.
