As in-person events have been few and far between,
leverage the technology available to keep in touch with
others in the industry.

uite a lot has changed since the NBAA's Schedulers and
Dispatchers Conference in March and the NATA's Ground
Handling Safety Symposium in September.

At the beginning of the year, I wouldn't have
anticipated not traveling for work between the
two events. And to be fair, I didn't travel to the
NATA's event.
I've been a part of several webinars and online
presentations, but the Ground Handling Safety
Symposium was my first foray into a multi-day
virtual event and it was a great experience. It was
a perfect example of the technological advantages we have available to help us weather the
pandemic. Even just a few years ago, it would
have been more difficult to stay connected this
effectively.
Speaking of which, we at Ground Support
Worldwide want to stay connected with all of you.
Our staff misses being at in-person events, discussing important topics impacting the industry.
A great way to engage with us in on social
media platforms. You can find all of the publication's social media accounts in the Table of
Contents each month. Now more than ever, this
is an terrific opportunity to interact with us.

To help us stay engaged with our readers on
social media, and to support our coverage of the
aviation industry as a whole, the editorial team at
AviationPros has welcomed a new assistant editor,
Jessica Purgett.
Jessica is an alumna of Mount Mercy University, where she graduated summa cum laude with
an excellent editing portfolio. We're excited to
have her on our team, and we look forward to her
contributions to Ground Support Worldwide, Airport Business and Aircraft Maintenance Technology.
Hopefully, before long, we'll be able to introduce Jessica in person at trade shows and conferences. Until then, feel free to drop her a line
