Turn Your Blind Spots
into Vision Spots

Protect Your Fleet with Mobileye® Shield+™
Mobileye, an Intel Company, is a global
leader in the development of computer
vision and machine learning, data analysis, localization, and mapping technologies for advanced driver assistance
systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving
solutions.
The Mobileye Shield+ collision avoidance system was designed specifically
with larger vehicles in mind, to address
the large blind spots, greater turning radii
and other unique challenges that drivers
of buses encounter daily on crowded city
streets. Drivers receive real-time alerts to
potential dangers, giving the vital seconds
needed to prevent or mitigate a potentially devastating collision, including:
* Forward Collision Warning
* Pedestrian and Cyclist Collision Warning
* Headway Monitoring and Warning
* Lane Departure Warning
* Blind Spot Detection
It consists of two to eight vision sensors that are constantly monitoring the
road ahead of the bus as well as its blind
spots, on both sides of the vehicle and by
the A-pillar and left mirror.

Shield+ comes with an integrated
telematics system, allowing fleet managers to use alert data, tracked by time
and location, to pinpoint Hot Spots on
drivers' routes. The cloud-based, secure
system generates several safety reports
to analyze transit routes and provide
data to support evidence-based infrastructure changes and inform driver
training programs.

Bus & Paratransit Product Guide | ADVERTORIAL | APRIL/MAY 2019

Best of all, almost any type of existing
transit bus, even an articulated bus, can
be retrofitted with Shield+, giving existing vehicles an immediate safety boost.
No need to wait for, or worry about, the
purchase of new vehicles.
