he Model IBC6008MSK, introduced in June 2019, integrates
Associated Equipment's 70 years of experience charging and
testing battery and electrical systems to produce a new and
exciting charger designed to vehicle manufacturer and battery
manufacturer requirements; charging the widest range of 12V
battery types. This next generation battery charger charges all
battery types, including lithium starting batteries, has adjustable charging amperage and voltage with patented diagnostics
to detect weak or defective batteries, and has a designed in
adjustable re-flash power mode for extended vehicle diagnostics.
The intuitive backlit interface makes the IBC6008MSK easy to
operate in both low light or bright sunny conditions with onscreen English, French and Spanish language operation.
The easy-to-read interface guides technicians through a variety of
charging parameters for different battery types including Sealed
Lead Acid, AGM, Enhanced Flooded (Start-Stop), GEL, Deep Cycle
and Lithium (SLI) starting batteries. Technicians appreciate the
flexibility of charging multiple battery types with one charger,
customizing the charging voltages within each battery type, and
the ability to adjust charging amperage to accommodate smaller
batteries. The charger will automatically set the charging level and
time of charge based on the battery type selected by the technician
and will also perform deep discharge recovery of sulfated batteries
including AGM.
The adjustable voltage re-flash power mode is required by several
OEM's and gives technicians the ability to perform extended vehicle
re-flash procedures and key-on/engine-off diagnostics while holding
a specific voltage, as defined by the OEM, in both dealership and
aftermarket shops. This is especially critical for high end European
import vehicles that require 70 amps of constant current for
re-flashing ECU's. The unit also features a 12V power port for use
with a memory saver for easy battery changeout and includes a 12
ft OBDII cable for use with the memory saver.
Another unique feature of the IBC6008MSK is the Partial Charge
Mode which allows for a quick test to make sure the battery
will take a charge, then charging of a battery to 75-80% greatly
speeding up the charging process for busy shops. This time-saving

feature increases profitability of shops by allowing them to turn over
vehicles in service bays quickly. It is especially beneficial for quicklane type operations. No other battery charger on the market has
the ability to program for a partial charge.

Based on feedback from OEM vehicle engineers and technicians in
the field, the IBC6008MSK has both audible and visual warnings
for Reverse Polarity Hook-Up, Weak or Defective Battery, 80%
Partial Charge and 100% Complete Charge. The IBC6008MSK
also flashes the screen at the Technician for the same warnings, a
very helpful visual benefit in noisy shop environments. The charger
is reverse polarity protected meaning it will not operate if it is
hooked up in reverse and also has overcharge protection, two very
important safety features for technician's and shop owners and
today's expensive batteries.
The IBC6008MSK is UL listed in Canada and US (cULus) and meets
the US Department of Energy Consumer Battery Charger Efficiency
requirements. The IBC6008MSK boasts a two-year parts and
labor warranty and a three-year transformer/rectifier assembly
manufacturer's warranty giving the technician and shop owner
