THE REVIEW:
Q: How did the tool function as far
as saving you time?
A: For many years, access to the evaporative
emissions system was via a universal
schrader valve. Most test platforms
(smoke machines) came with the adaptor
needed. In the last few years, that is no
longer the case - there isn't that schrader
valve/port anymore. The EasyConnect
allows you to quickly and easily access the
EVAP system by disconnecting the line/
hose at the purge control solenoid and teeing
in with the adapter. This allows your
favorite smoke machine access to flow test
for leaks and then introduce smoke, when
needed, to find the leak.
Q: How has using this tool impacted
your shop's profitability?
A: It will, over time, save us a lot of
time. We can be testing within seconds,
rather than minutes.
Q: What kind of setup was involved
before using the product?
A: No setup required. Open the package
and you are ready to go.
Q: How easy was it to use?
A: Extremely easy.
Q: How was its packaging? Did it
come with any accessories?
A: Packaging is
well done. A robust
zipper case is included
to keep the adapters
together.
Q: What features
did you like?
A: Honestly,
just
the fact that I can have
an assortment of adapters
for multiple systems.
I also really like the case to
keep everything together.
Q: Is there any way you could think
to improve or add to this tool?
A: I'm sure over time there's going to
be other adapters required, or if there is
already I just haven't run into that vehicle/
carline/system.
Q: What types of repairs did you use
this tool for?
A: Almost primarily evaporative emissions
system testing, specifically verifying
that there is a leak, but also using a smoke
machine to find a leak.
Q: Have you used a previous version
of this tool?
A: There really isn't an older version of
this kit, other than perhaps the universal

adapters. This
is a collection
of the OE adapters
used in dealerships. For
us in the aftermarket working on multiple
carlines, this is really nice.
Q: On a scale of 1 to 10, how would
you rate this tool overall?
A: 10. I'm not sure what more it could
be, and having the case is a nice touch.
The adapters are of good quality, and I've
had zero issues using them, like leaking
or anything.

EasyConnect from Redline Detection is compatible
with any smoke machine and allows technicians to quickly
hook up a smoke machine into an EVAP system for fast,
