The Encon Safety Products Veratti Lite 2.0
Safety Spectacles feature advanced fog resistance. The safety spectacles also have adjustable temples and an adjustable nosepiece to
help ensure fit and wearer comfort, as well as
brow guard protection. The lenses are made from
high-impact polycarbonate and are available in
clear and gray.

The Encon Safety Products Veratti Primo
Plus Safety Goggles combine the advantages
of a spectacle and a google to provide a compact
size with full protection at the same time, says
the company. The TPE gasket offers full sealed
protection and is splash resistant while meeting the D3 standard for splashing. The goggles
come with a detachable, adjusting elastic headband to secure them firmly and comfortably. The
goggles also feature advanced fog-resistance
and vented lens/frames. Lenses are available in
gray, clear, and light gray.

especially when it comes
to protecting a technician's eyes.
No one wants potentially harmful debris in their eyes, so safety eyewear is necessary when
doing jobs that put the technician's eyes at risk. Randy Kaiser,
a technician at Rost Motor, Inc.
in Manson, Iowa found the Encon
Safety Products Veratti Lite 2.0
Safety Spectacles and Veratti
Primo Plus Safety Goggles did
a " very good job " of keeping
debris out of his eyes.
" I used [the products] any time there
was any chance of something getting into
my eyes, whether that was f lying metal,
chemicals, anti-freeze, or gasoline, " Kaiser
said. " It's always better to be safe than
sorry when it comes to your eyes. "
Throughout his career Kaiser has tried
various safety eyewear, but none with the

unique features the Encon products
offer. Both sets feature a f lexible nosepiece that doesn't irritate the wearer's nose
while in use, and the Lite 2.0 spectacles
also feature f lexible temples that make
them comfortable to wear for extended
periods of time, noted Kaiser.
Upon arrival, Kaiser noted the spectacles and the goggles came individually
sealed in plastic bags. No other accessories
were included or needed for use.
Kaiser was impressed by many of the
features the Encon eyewear had to offer,
such as their 99 percent UVA protection and high impact resistance, which
Kaiser said, " any good safety glass should
be. " He was also fond of the Primo Plus'
adjustable elastic strap and flexible flange
seal around the eyepieces. He joked that
the goggles would actually work pretty
well for riding on a motorcycle as well as
around the shop.
Both eyewear models that Kaiser tested came with either clear or gray lenses.

The information sheet that
came with the products stated that
the gray lenses were not rated for welding of any kind, but the technician was
happy to have the darker lenses while
working in bright or sunny conditions.
He also appreciated the lenses' advanced
fog resistance, as neither the spectacles
nor the goggles fogged up like other ones
that Kaiser has used in the past.

believed could be made to the eyewear
was resolving its inability to fit over his
regular glasses.
" I had to choose [between] protecting my eyes or being able to see well. It
would be nice to have some quality safety
glasses that would fit over regular glasses, "
Kaiser said.
Overall, Kaiser was pleased with the
Encon Safety Products Veratti Lite 2.0
Safety Spectacles and Veratti Primo Plus
Safety Goggles' comfort, quality, and
fog resistance.
