after horse breeder Tom Chauncey's

name is at the base of the sculpture.
Artist: Bob Parks
Location: Roundabout at Fifth Avenue and
Marshall Way
" HORSESHOE FALLS "
Tall pillars made of stacked horseshoes
stand within a horseshoe-shaped concrete
seat wall. Dense fog periodically rises from
a bed of river rock and cools the space for
park visitors.
Artist: Michael Maglich
Location: Southeast corner of Marshall Way
and Indian School Road
" PASSING THE LEGACY "
This Hashknife Pony Express Commemorative
Monument depicts a vintage Pony
Express rider and a contemporary Hashknife
Pony Express rider handing off the
mail at full gallop, representing the Old
West meeting the New West.
Artist: Herb Mignery
Location: Marshall Way cul-de-sac, just
south of Camelback Road on the north bank
of the Arizona Canal
" WATER MARK "
These five equine gargoyle sculptures
stand 14 feet high at the dramatic narrowing
point of Scottsdale's innovative Indian
Bend Wash Greenbelt flood control basin.
Each aluminum horse strikes a different
pose and during rare flash floods, water
pours from the gargoyles' mouths.
Artists: Laura Haddad & Tom Drugan
Location: North side of Indian Bend Road
between Scottsdale and Hayden Roads
