I told him it could last three, six, or 10+ years. If it lasted three years, would he be happy and say, "I am glad it lasted three years and now I will get the implant" or "I'm mad it only lasted three years when I invested $2,500." If you would be mad, you may want to consider an implant at this time. If not, you can always get the implant later if you want to save your tooth now. Especially when canine is involved. To me the conservative thing is taking the teeth out and doing implants. Implants work, and are very successful. We shouldn't shy away from them. Especially when done right and in ideal situations.
