NTI-tss Plus
Reduce clenching intensity and prevent migraines
Give your jaw-clenching patients power over their migraine pain with the
NTI-tss Plus, an anterior disclusion device proven effective at preventing
tension headaches and migraines.
The NTI-tss Plus (nociceptive trigeminal inhibition tension suppression
system) has been cleared by the FDA and has been shown to reduce clenching
forces by approximately 70% in clinical studies.
The device is indicated for patients who experience symptoms of possible
tension-type headaches, migraines, TMD, tooth wear from clenching, or muscle
pain associated with parafunction. It covers the anterior teeth and can be

teeth and canines out of occlusion, reducing the intensity of clenching

and comfort, a lower device can be prescribed if the patient presents
with a narrow lower arch, lower veneers, Class III bite or uneven lower incisors.
The NTI seating checklist can help clinicians verify that the device properly
fi ts the patient. The device is seated correctly if the patient cannot dislodge
the appliance with their tongue or lips, the discluding element contacts the
opposing midline, there is no canine or posterior contact, there is only about
1 mm of freeway space between the two closest opposing cusp tips, and the
patient cannot protrude beyond the end of the discluding element.
Clinicians have an opportunity to not only help get their patients out
of pain but also to do so through a nonpharmacological approach. The
NTI-tss Plus serves as an alternative treatment for patients who have additional
medical complications or those who are pregnant or nursing. Patients
who take medications that confl ict with conventional migraine treatment
