Gr82thDoc In central Ohio, fees have been frozen for the past 7-10 years in most PPOs. Some have even been reduced. Most practices are heavily PPO contracted. Fees can no longer be increased to cover pay raises and payroll tax increases. Diminishing private-pay patients. Overhead has exploded since March 17, 2020, shutdown. Net income for dentists-and in particular newly hired corporate dentists-is decreasing. So when you give one employee a $5/hour raise, that $10K comes directly out of your net.
