Grin Launches Remote
Orthodontic Consultations
Grin, a comprehensive digital
orthodontic platform that provides
orthodontic solutions in partnership
with local doctors, announced a new
remote consultation feature. Henry
Schein will offer the Grin Remote
Monitoring Platform and Grin Remote
Consultation to their doctor network
across the United States.
The Grin experience consists
of the Grin App and Grin Scope, an
FDA-listed medical device. Combined
with Grin Remote Monitoring, this
new feature results in insights that
assist doctors in cost-effective
lead generation along with safe and
convenient care.
The Grin Remote Consultation
journey leverages Grin virtual care
technology-previously reserved for
Grin partner doctors and patients
already engaged in orthodontic care-
and now allows for a pretreatment
touchpoint. Patients can request a
consultation with local participating
orthodontists through a variety
of channels such as participating
practices' engagement platforms or
direct doctor referrals.
The Grin Scope is an
orthodontist-created, proprietary
device that serves as an intraoral
adapter and designed to retract
the cheeks to allow a full view of a
patient's mouth. The entire system
is powered by the Grin App; patients
are guided to self-scan their teeth for
an orthodontist-ready video. Doctors
receive the intraoral self-scan video
of their potential patient and send
back a short video analysis of the
most appropriate treatment options
and pathways.

uLab Systems Enters Preferred Provider
Agreement with Schulman Group
uLab Systems, the creator of the uSmile clear aligner system, has entered into
a supply agreement with the orthodontic service organization Schulman Group.
uLab will act as an in-office printing and clear aligner preferred provider to the
organization. This arrangement applies to STLs for orthodontists who 3D-print
aligners in-office and to uSmile clear aligners.
uLab Systems' platform features efficient AI-assisted treatment planning,
rapid aligner delivery, the ability to mix brackets and aligners in the same case and
optional aligner packaging showcasing the orthodontist's brand. This allows the
orthodontist to have full control over the treatment process by planning the case
in as little as 10 minutes without any back-and-forth with a remote technician, use
their preferred mix of treatment modalities, and have aligners delivered in 10 days
or less in custom packaging.

Candid and Carbon Announce Partnership
to Produce Clear Aligners
Carbon, a 3D printing technology company, and
Candid, a digital platform for oral health care, are teaming
up to produce clear aligner models. Using Carbon's L1
printers and DLS process, Candid is introducing Candid
Pro, its orthodontics-as-a-service doctor-driven clear
aligner therapy offering designs specifically for dental and
orthodontic practices.
Candid offers an end-to-end approach including the
use of a patent-pending treatment plan methodology, an
intuitive technology platform built for clinicians and a suite
of patient support. By leveraging Carbon DLS, Candid will
provide dental clinicians with an effective, efficient and
scalable way to deliver clear aligner therapy for patients.
The technology platform includes Carbon's L1 printer,
a large-format 3D printer that allows organizations to
prototype and produce parts more economically.
