FBLA-ML Adviser Guide 2021-22 - 3

A MESSAGE FROM
FBLA-PBL'S PRESIDENT & CEO
WELCOME
Dear FBLA-Middle Level Advisers,
Success starts here and now with you! As one of more than 300 business educators guiding a middle school
FBLA chapter, you are contributing to a shared mission of creating community-minded business leaders. Our
work truly would not be possible without you. Enclosed is a welcome kit where you will find tools to help you
recruit, engage, and prepare for the year ahead.
I know that this year is a rebuilding year for many. There are so many wonderful things happening at FBLA that
you can use to supplement your instruction:
* Improved my.FBLA experience! Chapter management has never been easier. The National Center has
created a new adviser portal that allows you to seamlessly manage across platforms including our membership
database, the Leadership Community, and our new learning platform home to the LEAD program.
Visit my.fbla-pbl.org to get started and join us August 10 for an overview of our new and updated features.
*
Self-paced learning for your students! We are pleased to present the new LEAD Program created for student
members, developed by advisers just like you. Join us August 18 for an adviser exclusive webinar to learn
about how to get your members started in the Learning Center!
* MERIT means success for your students! Our membership engagement highlight of the year is a program
designed to focus on chapter recruitment, retention, engagement, service, and celebration! Enclosed in
this packet is a MERIT poster for you to track your chapter's progress and receive recognition and prizes.
*
In-person conferences are back! We are actively planning on TWO in-person events for members and advisers
with National Fall Leadership Conferences in Milwaukee and Orlando. Space is limited to ensure a
safe meeting experience for all. In addition, save the dates for the highlight of the year: the FBLA National
Leadership Conference in Chicago, June 29-July 2, 2022.
* Networking, amplified! Introduced last program year, the Leadership Community is designed to serve as the
National Center's main platform to share resources, program updates and deadlines for membership and
events. In addition, you will have direct access to advisers in other states through the discussion feature
where you may ask questions, share ideas, and co-create solutions.
I think you'll agree that this year's membership theme-Success Starts Here-is pretty spot on. I look forward
to working with you this year!
