Lone Star State
Emphasizes Digital
Connection and Unity

A significant part of the FBLA
experience is the reciprocity between
a state and its members. Each
member possesses a state pride that
can power higher motivation and
appreciation for FBLA; however, it is
what the state does for its members
that can produce a rewarding and
congenial relationship. In these
strenuous times, state chapters
often have trouble building the
member-state relationship as they
traditionally would have through inperson events. They are now obliged
to interact with their audience via
online resources and social media
platforms. Nonetheless, Texas FBLA
has shown its perpetual appreciation
for each of its chapters through the
creation of a gratifying and influential
online presence that benefits all of
its members.

Namely, Fall Area Leadership
Conferences are quintessential
pieces of Texas FBLA tradition; come
September, each state officer works
with his or her area and its local
chapters to bring the members
together in an educative and
developmental manner. Although
this year did not allow for in-person
conferences, Texas FBLA used its online
hubs to create enjoyable, interactive,
and informative remote conventions.
Moreover, the areas were successfully
consolidated for an event that yielded
a great turnout, high activity, and lots
of enjoyment amongst the members.
Instead of seven separate gatherings as
organized in former years, Texas FBLA
hosted three conferences that brought
the state's 130 local chapters together.
With extraordinary guest speakers
and interactivity among the members,
Texas FBLA made the best of the year
despite the circumstances.
Yet, that is what Texas FBLA
already was: appreciative and unified
in its numbers. This state chapter has
shown its strength in providing for its
members-creating strong reciprocity.

Despite setbacks, Texas FBLA has shone
through by working hard to give back
the best of the FBLA experience-
creating a strong relationship with its
areas, local chapters, and each and
every member.

abundant with high potential
individuals, FBLA prides itself on
equipping its members for their
aspirations-proffering them
with the means and support to do
exceptional things. Shown in all
members, even individuals apart of
small chapters and small towns are
allotted the opportunity to follow
their dreams in the business world;
namely, one member from the tiny
Newton FBLA local chapter has
