Photos from Members
Hayden Hradek, a sophomore FBLA member at Republic High
School in Republic, Missouri, has been hard at work completing
his Capstone project for the Business Achievement Awards. His
project involved planning, organizing, and hosting a charity event
called " A Night of Hope & Laughter, " featuring comedian Jaron
Myers. Besides the headlining act, Hradek also hosted a live band
and a silent auction. The event was a huge success, pulling in over
$7,000 for Tristen's Hope Foundation, a local non-profit focusing
on the awareness and prevention of teen suicide.
Members of the Middle School chapter at Emerging Leaders of
Southeast Oklahoma in Red Oak, Oklahoma, got together to craft
holiday ornaments for the residents of Talihina Veterans Center.
Not even the record-breaking freezing temperatures at the end of
2022 could prevent them from spreading their holiday cheer! The
Emerging Leaders also served food at the VFW Pancake Breakfast,
as well as participating in the Veterans Day Parade in Wilburton,
Oklahoma. Pictured here creating the ornaments (left to right)
are Rhylan Gorham, Duke Davis, Milo Skimbo, Roman Brinlee,
Lindy Basden, Rylan Brinlee, Randee Gorham, Brileigh Hulsey, and
Everett Taylor.
Students from the FBLA chapter at Denmark High School in
Alpharetta, Georgia, traveled to the Georgia Fall Leadership
Conference (FLC) in November. Pictured here (left to right) are
Sumith Hebbar, Sheil Dharan, Aman Binu Kasim, Ankit Chandra, and
Aarav Aguru. Participants rehearsed their speeches during the entire
bus ride, only stopping for a brief tour of the city of Athens, Georgia.
The students pictured here stand on the corner of Athens's own Wall
Street. Some of the activities presented at the Georgia FLC included
networking opportunities, competitions to test business skills, and
the undoubtedly heated Monopoly Tournament.
When Stanly Community College in Albemarle, North Carolina,
held its " Hooray for Hollywood " FallFest, Collegiate National
Parliamentarian and March of Dimes Committee Member Toby Neal
coordinated a Walk of Stars project to generate funds for the March
of Dimes. Toby painted 60 floor tiles left from a campus renovation,
added the gold star and movie medallion, and assisted the printing
office in doing the vinyl lettering for names. Employees could
purchase a star in appreciation of a co-worker. For his work, a star
was made in his honor! At the conclusion of FallFest, employees took
their stars, with most going on display in offices.
