TBL December 2023 - 4

From High School National President Deborah Jacklin
FBLA members and advisers, season's greetings!
I can't believe 2023 is already coming to an end, but I am immensely proud
of how much you and your chapters have already accomplished this program
year. As we approach 2024, I hope you set ambitious goals for yourself and
know that the FBLA community supports you. The holiday season is associated
with generosity and spending quality time with those you love; at this time of
year, I hope you will make it a priority to give back to your community.
These past few months in FBLA have been incredible. The National Fall
Leadership Conferences (NFLCs) in Providence, Rhode Island and Dallas,
Texas welcomed more than 2,000 Middle School and High School members.
With numerous leadership tracks and ample networking opportunities, the
NFLCs were a huge success! Additionally, the National Officer Team hosted
the national programs webinar, local chapter officer training, and state officer
summits. This year also marked a new chapter for FBLA as we celebrated
American Enterprise Day on November 15 with a virtual career panel. Attendees had a wonderful
opportunity to ask professionals in six top career fields about their industries.
In addition, the National Officer councils have been established and are working hard to
create new FBLA resources. Follow each national council on Instagram to keep up with the latest
FBLA projects. Speaking of councils, the National President's Executive Council (NPEC) wants
to recognize you at the national level! Submit a Sunday Snapshot or Success Stories form to
be featured on Instagram at @fblapres. In addition, they will be hosting study sessions, called
" Locked-In " sessions, as well as creating a video series for professional development called
" Professional Passport. " And if you are looking for competitive event preparation, NPEC will
provide feedback for all projects. Just submit a form through the NPEC LinkTree!
Don't forget to mark your calendar for FBLA Week (February 11-17). These days will be
action-packed with webinars, recognition, and social media challenges. Visit the FBLA Week page
for more information and start planning now!
Like any holiday season, I hope these next few months will prove to be a busy yet rewarding
experience. Prepare for competitive events, involve yourself within your chapter, but also take
time for yourself. As always, if I can support you or your chapter in any way, reach out to me at
djacklin@fbla.org or @deborahfbla!
Warm regards,
Deborah Jacklin
