or faculty see the pizza or other products we sell and
then want to go and purchase those products for
themselves.
3. Time really is money - Managing time throughout
our shifts is very crucial to our operations at the
student store. To date, our team has come up with an
efficient time schedule daily to make sure the lines
are moving at a quick and steady pace. The managers
delegate the usual times in which we have our juniors
start opening and closing up their stations so that the
lines are closing at a successful and efficient rate. Our
daily goal is to finish the line in 15 minutes. We meet
this goal often but continue to try to streamline our
processes to better serve our customers.
4. Keeping our " employees " satisfied - We make a
point of delegating employees to positions where they
have the potential to be very successful. This is very
important because you want to be able to have people
you know can get the job done in certain positions,
while enjoying this volunteer job. As managers we
put who we think will succeed in different spots
like working the register or stocking in the back. We
strive to develop positive work relationships with
the employees. Managers need to make sure that
they are respectful as well as professional towards
