MONROVIA JOINS THINKPLANTS
BREEDER NETWORK
Monrovia Nursery is joining ThinkPlants network of
breeders, growers and suppliers. This new addition to
the ThinkPlants family continues to expand the growing
portfolio of genetics and broaden the reach ThinkPlants
and its suppliers and customers have in the North
American market.
" Monrovia Nursery has long been known for their
exceptional plant introductions, " says Joey Wiseman,
director of ThinkPlants. " We feel honored to now help them
increase sales on some of their phenomenal perennials. "

Flowers will manage greenhouses using electrical power
for heating and cooling instead of heating with heavy oil,
generate electricity by installing solar panels, and use
electricity derived from renewable energy sources.
DANZIGER INTRODUCES FLORESTA FOLIAGE
Danziger's new foliage program, Floresta, will offer more
than 150 varieties, with more being introduced regularly.
Floresta translates to forest, bringing to mind a collection
of lush, beautiful plants from a tropical rainforest.
The company is propagating and supplying foliage
plants from their facility in Guatemala, with the goal of
having cleaner cuttings and reliable availability. Danziger
Guatemala is in full production of different crops, including
peperomia, philodendron, pothos, dieffenbachia and more.
" The days of low-quality foliage cuttings and
inconsistent availability are gone, " says Mike Fernandez,
market manager for Danziger North America. " Other foliage
programs are done outdoors, under banana trees where
the rainy season can cause serious problems. We're taking
production indoors to a clean environment and starting
with high-quality source material to develop cuttings.
Indoor production gives us a better environment with no
weather concerns, allowing us to produce consistent crops
and make availability more consistent too. "
Floresta will feature the same consistent and reliable
supply information as Danziger's annuals and perennials,
with online availability and continuous weekly inventory
updated regularly.
