Founded by Hugh Ghormley and his wife, Jill, in 1996
in Garland, Texas, Whitetail Nursery primarily serves
landscapers, retail garden centers and grocery chain
accounts supplied seasonally. Ghormley's product
mix consists of 4 " annuals, hanging baskets and some
perennials to round out his landscape selection.
Hugh Ghormley embraces controlled growth, leveraging
labor-saving tools like potting machines and shipping
racks for increased efficiency. In 2013, he partnered with
Premier Tech and Kase Horticulture to utilize PRO-MIX® in
Mega-Bale format, reducing costs and labor hours during
planting season. Labor remains a key factor in Whitetail
Nursery's growth strategy, with Hugh continually seeking
ways to optimize efficiency and retain skilled staff.
CONROE GREENHOUSES - Reducing Plants Loss
Conroe Greenhouses, founded by Paul Brann and his
father J. D. in 1974, faced challenges of adequate water
supply and low profit margins. However, their journey took
a positive turn when they switched to PRO-MIX® growing

the " dump " rate of
unsaleable plant

founded Rudy & Son's Greenhouse - starting with a
few greenhouses with the help of his wife, children and
