Spudman.com According to data from IRI compiled for Potatoes USA, organic potatoes accounted for 4.2% of the $2.851 billion in fresh potato sales in 2018. The $120.4 million in fresh organic potato sales was nearly double the sales amount in 2014, when the market share was just 2.3%. The market for organic potatoes still ranks well behind other produce " I think there is a place in marketplace for both organic and traditionally produced potatoes. It's more challenging for organic growers on a product that's grown in the soil because of all the soil pathogens and viruses.
