3 STRATEGIES TO
CREATE OR EXPAND
HIGH PERFORMANCE
TRAINING AREAS

One of the biggest challenges facing some tactical professionals and those responsible for training and
preparing them for the physical, mental, and cognitive demands required for success, is creating environments
where individuals and groups can train within or around unpredictable and inconsistent schedules. Here are
some ways innovative thinking and design can maximize space and scale training to meet diverse needs when
traditional gym space is limited or nonexistent.

LOOK OUTSIDE THE BOX
Often facilities have available outdoor space that is overlooked as viable training areas. Identifying ways to
utilize these outdoor areas can be cost effective and deliver benefits of outdoor training, including exposure to
sunlight to better support mood and vision. It also opens up a variety of workouts and programming to combine
traditional strength training with open space options for agility, intervals, and tactical related skills. Effective and
efficient outdoor training requires purposely built rigs, racks and storage to withstand the elements and keep
your gear safe to protect your investment in a new outdoor space.
TRANSFORM UNDERUTILIZED INDOOR SPACES
Take stock of your current facility, and not just dedicated gym space. Identify storage areas that can be
consolidated to create additional indoor training space. Whether a small corner space or a large storage depot,
think about areas where a training area can be created and then look for equipment to provide the most bang
for your space.
CREATE MOBILE TRAINING OPTIONS
Have multiple locations to support? Want to make the best of outdoor or covered areas if you have a large
storage depot or garage? A mobile training solution with a BeaverFit Beyond Trailer, Gym Box, or HitchFit can
provide the opportunity to support multiple groups across a department or base location, while also having the
option to choose where you train on a daily basis.
Whether looking to create a new outdoor training space, convert indoor areas, or build out a
mobile training solution, BeaverFit has the solutions proven to work in any tactical environment.
