considering a gift to the Foundation,

Your generosity can benefit the future of
medicine in many ways. Through donations of
money, time and talents, you can make a difference
for fellow physicians across Pennsylvania. Your gifts
truly change lives.
Your generosity impacts future physicians.
Through Student Financial Services, the Foundation
provides scholarships and affordable loans with customer service
personalized to the needs of Pennsylvania residents attending
medical school.
You're helping future physicians like Carly Muller, a secondyear medical student at the University of Miami Miller School of
Medicine. She is from Macungie and is the 2018 recipient of the
Lehigh County Medical Auxiliary's Scholarship and Educational
Fund award of $2,500.
Muller hopes to specialize in pediatrics. After losing her mother
to cancer when she was 13, she feels a strong connection helping
kids through adversity.

"I plan to use what I learned from my struggles
to be a source of support for kids and families going
through health challenges," Muller said. "I want to
be on the team that fights for the lives of people who
believe in magic, superheroes and Santa."
While a scholarship worth $2,500 may not seem
like much when medical school debt can surpass
$200,000, our recipients tell us that the scholarships
they receive help pay for things like rent, groceries,
books and travel expenses for job interviews. We are
grateful that because of your generosity, we can help
ease the daily financial burden for these medical students.
Your generosity helps us to serve medical professionals during
life's most challenging moments. For more than 30 years, the
Physicians' Health Program (PHP) has provided support and
advocacy to physicians, dentists and other eligible health care
professionals suffering from substance use disorders, mental illness or
behavioral concerns that impact their ability to practice their chosen
profession safely.
You're helping doctors like Jon Lepley, DO, a physician in the
Philadelphia jail system. Dr. Lepley established a medication-assisted
treatment program that has radically changed the lives of inmates
suffering from substance use disorders, increasing their likelihood of
