Did You Ever Wonder

*Sally Jewell (D) ...is not a natural-born citizen (acquired U.S.
citizenship by naturalization) and thus ineligible for
the Presidency.
So for those of you who like numbers, there are 14
Democrats and 3 Republicans. There are 14 men and 4
women, one of whom does not qualify due to failing the
natural-born citizenship requirement. Two of the Republicans
are not appointed by the President but are in succession due to
their positions in the Congress. And in case you forgot, Julián
Castro would be your current President in the new TV series if
it were factual. Keeping in touch with numbers, even though
he is listed as being 12th in line above, he would actually be
13th if Ms. Jewell were not disqualified.
Of course, for those who know how these things work,
they still have not done a complete job of going through
the wreckage of the bomb that destroyed the Capitol
building. Will they find a survivor who was part of the line
of succession? Will the left over military leadership accept

Sutherland as their President or replace him with a "stronger"
personage, like them? And even the Executive Branch only has
the President. Who will be the Vice President? Did Congress
leave behind a designated survivor to fulfill the positions of
those who were at the Capitol building?
And to make matters worse, how will the government
operate without its two other branches that have been
annihilated? Remember, we have three branches of
government that act as checks and balances on each other -
one not to have more power than the other and to adhere to
the laws and Constitution of the United States. The President
appoints the vacancies in the U.S. Supreme Court. If all 9
justices have been killed, whom will Sutherland appoint? And,
any appointment must be approved by the Senate. If they are
all dead, how do you get people to replace Senators who have
to be elected by the States, or, in this case, may be appointed by
the Governor of a State? The series should have many twists
and turns.
