Like Fine Wine... "The Geezers" 26th Annual Dinner
Francis P. Connors, "Golden Geezer" of 2018
"The Golden" (center), surrounded by his son Patrick J.
Connors, Esq.; and his daughter, Katie Hanson, Esq.

Patrick J. Connors, Esq.:

"We are here to honor this year's
'Golden Geezer', my Dad, 'Franny'
Connors. I do not know exactly how
you qualify as a Golden Geezer, but
it really sounds old, does it not? I
guess we will be back here ten years
from now and you will be a Diamond
Geezer?
Dad is a product of Chester,
graduating from St. Robert's Grade
School and St. James High School.
He went on to get degrees from Saint
Joseph's University and Villanova
Law School.
He is a dedicated and loving father
of six children and grandfather of
thirteen. Dad was also a dedicated public servant having served
as County Solicitor for 22 years. He was always known as an
honest and straight-shooting lawyer. To me, he is just Dad. I
have been pretty lucky in life and I can say without hesitation,
that luck began when I was born to Franny and Joan Connors.
Congratulations Dad!" ... Francis P. Connors, Jr.

Mimi Bradley, Director of
Domestic Relations, 2018
"Courthouse Geezer"
"Thank you. This is a great
honor to be here with you and be
the recipient of this award. Because
my Dad spent his lifetime in your
community, this award is more
personal and special to me. I would
like to share a lesson he taught me ...
be brief, be brilliant, be gone. Who
knew when I started at Domestic
Relations a week after college, I
would still be here 33 years and nine
president judges later, still enjoying
the job and learning something new
every day.
I have admired each President Judge I have had the pleasure to
serve. All of them, brilliant, and because of their vastly different
backgrounds, I have had a diverse education. Tonight I want
to say how grateful I am for their wisdom, encouragement and
support.

I also want to thank all of you, especially the Family Court
attorneys who have offered me much worthwhile advice. Your
input has been invaluable to me through the years and it is
much appreciated. Because of Domestic Relations, my life has
been enriched both professionally and personally. It has been
rewarding to me that children are receiving the financial support
they require to live and grow.
I am fortunate to have the hardest working and most
committed staff. I am proud to say that together, we annually
exceed all five federal child support performance measures.
Do you know that we collect over 83% of all child support
obligations and arrears each year, or that Pennsylvania leads the
nation by a large margin? It is not really about the numbers, it is
about impacting the lives of children in Delaware County.
On a personal note, just like my father, I have a great love and
affection for everyone who works in the Courthouse community,
and feel incredibly lucky to have shared many years crossing
paths with my dad. If not for Domestic Relations, I would have
never met my husband Brian. Together, we have two beautiful
boys, my greatest accomplishment. Tonight, my husband
celebrates his birthday, now every birthday is a blessing.
Thank you again for this award. I am honored and feel
privileged to be recognized for the job I love. Now that I too am
a 'Geezer', it is past my bedtime, good night and God bless" ...
Mimi Bradley, Director of Domestic Relations
