Delco Sheriff Launches New Smartphone App

elaware County residents now have a new way to stay
informed on news and resources from the Delaware
County Sheriff's office, as Sheriff Mary McFall Hopper
launched a new, free app available on Apple and Google Playenabled smartphones.
"The Delaware County Sheriff's Office is releasing this
innovative mobile app as a public service to our residents,"
Hopper said in a statement. "The app will empower the public to
partner with us in public safety, and will enable residents to easily
submit confidential tips. The app also provides easy access to
information about all divisions in the Sheriff's Office in order to
provide better service to our residents. The Sheriff's Office exists
to protect and serve our county residents, and the app will help us
be even more effective in fulfilling our mission."
The new app is an innovative approach to help Delaware
County citizens, businesses, and visitors to stay informed about
important news and resources from the Sheriff's Office. Residents
can download the free app, available now, onto a smartphone to
receive important alerts, notifications, and information.
To find the app, search "Delaware County Pa. Sheriff" in the
Apple App Store or on Google Play.
The app allows the public access to vital information about
all divisions of the Sheriff's Office including service of civil
documents, the process for the monthly Sheriff's Sale, how to
apply for a License to Carry Permit, and more.
One of the app's key features, "Submit a Tip," allows the
public to send anonymous information about crimes, or wanted
individuals, along with photos. They can also leave their contact
information but it is not required, so tips can remain anonymous.
On the main menu of the app, residents can scroll through
photos of the Delco's Most Wanted, and also View, Like, and
Share Facebook and Twitter posts. Important features include:
* Gun Permits & Licensing Information and Gun Safety Tips
* Delco Most Wanted List with Photos
* Sheriff Sales Information
* Ask the Sheriff - submit questions; commend a deputy
* Megan's Law Lookup link
* Delaware County Inmate Search link
Anyone with the app can forward alerts and download links
to friends, family, and neighbors. For more information contact
