A Night at the Races ...
And they're off for the Cause!
April 2018. Members, guests, colleagues and friends joined the
Family Law Section of the Delaware County Bar Association
for A Night at the Races ... an evening of food, spirits, friendly
wagers, and live and silent auctions!
The Family Law Section ("FLS") is the largest and one of the
most active groups in the Delaware County Bar Association. Its
membership is comprised primarily of family law practitioners,
but the FLS is open to any interested member of the Association.
The benefits of membership in the FLS include: excellent
networking opportunities; great CLE programs; and special
social events.

The FLS prides itself on its commitment to serving the
community, and each year it holds a special fundraiser in the
spring to benefit a local charity. This year, the heart that gives,
gathered ... a very lively and committed crowd it was! Proceeds
in excess of $5,000 benefitted Delaware County Women Against
Rape (DCWAR), a private non-profit agency located in Delaware
County, Pennsylvania. The primary
mission of the agency, founded in
1974, is to provide comprehensive
direct services to victims of rape
and other sexual assaults who live
in the county, or who may have
been victimized in the county.
DCWAR is also committed to
increasing community awareness
of the impact of crime on victims,
and helping to develop strategies to
prevent it. *
