Ethical Standards & Obligations

The Delaware County Bar Association received a generous
grant from the Pennsylvania Bar Insurance Fund to develop
two CLE programs on Technology Training for Lawyers.
December: The first seminar was entitled "Getting the Most
Out of the Software You Already Have" and was offered at no
cost to DCBA members on December 4, 2018. Daniel J. Siegel,
a frequent speaker and member of the Association, was the
presenter. In addition to his law practice, Dan writes, lectures,
and is a course planner for the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the
Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and the American, Pennsylvania and
Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Associations. Over 120 attorneys
attended this very informative program on the effective use of

software for legal practitioners and on ethical standards to which
lawyers must adhere when employing this technology.
February, 2019. A second seminar entitled "The Use
of Technology in Your Law Practice: Know Your Ethical
Obligations" was held February 13, 2019, featuring presenter
Josh Byrne, Esquire. This course was developed in cooperation
with USI Affinity and was offered complimentary for all DCBA
members.
The DCBA appreciates the support it receives from the
Pennsylvania Bar Insurance Fund and many thanks to the Board
of Trustees of the Fund for this grant. *
