"American Crane & Equipment was honored to receive
the Building Berks 2019 award for the Manufacturing Small
category. We are pleased to be recognized for the investment
we made in Berks County by designing, engineering, and
constructing a 40,000 square foot new building which will be
used for final assembly, testing, and storage. We are passionate
about delighting our customers. With this increased capacity,
we will continue to grow our vision, mission and values and
continue to provide our customers with excellence and value in

"The Yocum Institute for Arts Education's mission is to
connect and enrich our community in and through the arts.
We are honored to receive the Building Berks 2019 award for
the Education category and pleased to be recognized for this
significant investment we have made in the revitalization of the
Penn Avenue corridor. We rebuilt an obsolete historical building
and turned it into a cultural institute, ensuring that people across
Berks County have easy access to the arts and arts education.
This allows us to strengthen our position and expand our inhouse and outreach programs which, just last year, impacted
over 30,000 people across the county and beyond." Susan Rohn,

As part of the event, we celebrated the Berks County
Industrial Development Authority's 50th Anniversary. Their
past and current accomplishments were showcased, and the
economic impact of those projects was applauded.

an important component of our growing economy," said Pamela
Shupp, GRCA Executive Vice President & COO. "Each of the
27 nominated projects had a strong impact on the quality of
life in our community and represent opportunity, growth, jobs,
and, importantly, possibilities for our region. And, we applaud
everyone who is helping to build a better Berks County."
