so does Boyertown

The last few months have
been busy with events,
meetings, and growth.
We are delighted to welcome Brakeman's Café to
Boyertown! Located on South Washington Street,
Brakeman's Café serves Twin Valley nitro coffee (as
well as other incredible hot beverages - try the Iced
Toddy!), homemade breakfast and lunch items, and
has become the hot spot in town for morning meetings, lunch dates, and catching up. On the other end
of Boyertown, Barrel and Ale, the latest addition to
the Doc's Irish Pub and Iezzi's on Third family, has
opened. Located on North Reading Avenue, behind
Walmart, Barrel and Ale offers an upscale casual dining
experience. Offering craft cocktails, German inspired
American cuisine, and a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Barrel and Ale is a great place for your next date night,
to catch the game, or have a girl's night out!
On Oct. 1, we hosted the second public meeting for the Secret
Valley Trail project. Held at Borough Hall in the Community Room,
Bob Thomas of Campbell Thomas & Co, went through a short
slideshow presentation to discuss the project scope, past studies and
connections and the planning process that has taken place so far for
the Secret Valley Trail Feasibility Study. If you're interested in finding

September and October are busy, music filled, and soaked in sun
in Boyertown. We hosted our annual Oktoberfest fundraiser Sept.
20-21. Our incredible committee chairs Jeremy and Becky Rolston
and the Oktoberfest Committee pulled off another record year, adding
a second bar to the event with new and exciting beer options. We are
already planning for next year and are so grateful to all who came
out to celebrate with us! Pickfest, held Oct. 11-13, was a beautiful
weekend full of music, apple specials at our local restaurants and
cafés, and live music on nine different stages throughout Boyertown!
Now, the weather is turning colder, and we are getting ready for
the holidays. The Holiday House Tour, hosted by the Boyertown Area
Historical Society, will be held on Friday, Dec. 6. The Multi-Service
will be hosting their Festival of Lights Dec. 6-7. Chillin' on Main
with Santa will be held Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Be sure to be
on East Philadelphia Avenue at 11 a.m. to welcome Santa and his
friends to Boyertown, and get your chance to visit with him! Building
