to them.

My face will light up as I proudly tell them that I'm originally
from Northeast Ohio. I'm a lover of all things Cleveland sports,
using words like "pop" and "tennis shoes," and ending questions
with a preposition.

I think that is where I find I have the most in common with
native Berks Countians: pride in where they are from. That pride
is so evident in all the work the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance
(GRCA) does, from spearheading the revitalization of downtown
Reading to talent attraction and retention with the Meet Greater
RDG campaign. And that pride is contagious.
During my third day on the job, Deb Millman, Vice President
of Development at GRCA, stopped me in the hallway on my way to my office and said, "The city
looks beautiful today, doesn't it?" Her question was dripping with pride - and, she was right. The
city did look beautiful during my morning commute.
Millman explained she was part of a team that would show off five Penn Street properties to
potential investors that day, and she was excited they would all be seen in the best possible light.
Everyone at GRCA truly believes the Greater Reading Area is an amazing place to live, work and
do business. Connecting our GRCA members with each other and the resources they need to thrive
is at the center of all that we do.
As the new Director of Communications and Marketing, my job will be made a little easier
being surrounded by coworkers who take pride in their jobs and believe in the overall mission of
the organization.
I also look forward to meeting our members and those who are thinking about becoming members. I believe utilizing the GRCA's membership benefits can help your business be seen in the best
possible light.
Northeast Ohio will always be where I'm from, but Berks County finally feels like my home, and
I'm proud of it.
