Feature Doggone difficult Launching a pet photography business during a pandemic is a challenge By Susan L. Angstadt A s fall settles in, I am tiptoeing into the deep end and launching my business, Susan the PETographer. 2021 must be better, right? I never thought, a little more than six months after leaving my staff photographer job of 18 years at the Reading Eagle Company, that I would be jobless and any hope of starting my own business would be thwarted by a world pandemic. A lot of scenarios plagued my many sleepless nights, but a worldwide shutdown was not one of them. It is on par with regrets for not photographing the World Trade Center more frequently while living in New York City because one day the towers would be gone.
