How has your business evolved in the time it has been a
Chamber Member?
In the more than 75 years we've enjoyed chamber membership,
we've grown from a small Berks County financial institution to a
large community bank serving customers throughout southeastern
Pennsylvania. Today, we remain focused on building long-term
relationships with customers through local decision-making,
personalized service and supporting our local communities.
Recognizing customers' growing desire for ease and convenience,
we offer online and mobile banking as well as our newest service,
"Lightning Loans," which allows business owners to apply for a loan
24/7 and receive an answer in days or sooner.
How has Chamber Membership benefited your business?
The ability to connect with other businesses through Chamber
membership and events has been invaluable. It has allowed us to
forge connections with prospective customers and vendors, as well
as keep up with business trends in our community.

August 14, 1909 We opened our doors
as The First National
Bank of Leesport.
1919 - Growth during our first decade was so rapid and extensive
that we outgrew our original home. So we purchased the home
of then-bank president, James Weisner, and moved into our new
building.
1930s - The stock market crashed in 1929, but we managed to
survive. But the ultimate test came during the Bank Moratorium of
March 4, 1933, during the depths of the Great Depression. After
a thorough check of our bank's resources, assets, and liabilities, we
were one of the few banks authorized to open our doors and do
business as usual under our original name and charter.
