1960s - As traffic on Routes 222 and 73 increased due to
construction of Ontelaunee Dam, we decided to expand our service
area. We opened our second office on Rte. 222 in Blandon in 1961.
1980s - In 1988 we expanded again when we opened our
Wyomissing Hills office. We carefully renovated the 19th-century
stone building that formerly housed Alfie's Restaurant.
1990s - In 1995 our NE Reading Branch opened. We also added
a limited-service facility at Phoebe Berks Village in Wernersville.
In 1999 we also opened new offices in both Hamburg and Breezy
Corner and purchased Essick and Barr, Inc.
2000s - In 2002 we opened two new, full-service financial centers
in Exeter Township and Sinking Spring. In 2004 we acquired
Madison Bancshares Group Ltd. and its divisions, Madison Bank,
Madison Financial Advisors and Philadelphia Financial Mortgage.
This acquisition allowed us to expand our reach into Bucks, Chester,
Delaware and Philadelphia Counties.

2012 - 2017
In 2012 we joined with Tompkins Financial Corporation and
became part of a strong community focused organization. In 2014
we changed our name to Tompkins VIST Bank. In 2016 we opened
a branches in Pottstown and Boyertown. And in 2017 we opened a
new state-of-the-art branch in Blue Bell.
