Go Taste Berks!

T
he Taste of Berks event is something we at the Greater
Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) look forward to every
year - there's nothing better than celebrating local businesses
while also sampling everything from food and wine to desserts and
snacks and everything in between. After the success of the 2020
Taste of Berks, 2021 brings its own set of challenges, including
how to hold Taste of Berks when we can't actually gather at the
Crowne Plaza as we have in the past. Our local restaurants, farms,
bars, caterers and other small businesses in the hospitality industry
are struggling, and we want to do the best we can to come together
and help them. So, after some brainstorming and creative sessions,
we created Go Taste Berks 2021.
Go Taste Berks is a
weeklong restaurant weekstyle event with a focus on
takeout due to the current
restaurant
restrictions.
Participating businesses will
be offering deals and specials
that will only be available
during Go Taste Berks Week,
Feb. 22 to March 1. You can
purchase a Go Taste Berks
Passport now on our website
tinyurl.com/gotasteberks. During Go Taste Berks week, every time
you purchase from a participating business, you will get a stamp on
your passport. If you get one stamp in each category, you'll be able
to send your passport back to the GRCA to be entered to win one
of three Go Experience Berks prizes! Even if you don't win, you'll
be recognized by the GRCA as a Berks Foodie and can reap all the
bragging rights that come with it, like always picking out the best
spots for dinner or happy hour.
