or someone. I've learned from those mistakes so I'm now
finding ways to hold myself accountable for communicating
quickly and honestly with others when there are issues."
Despite being in a stable position after the two and a half
year transition, Baum knows that he'll face more tests in the
future. "Running a business can be grueling," he said. "But
I'm definitely better prepared because of the connections
I've made, the mentors I've gained, the support of my family
and, most importantly, the love of my girlfriend, Rebecca,
who really saw me through it all."

mixing realism with a dose of optimism, and by building
