people to get through their normal daily routine. Orthopaedic Specialists of Central Pennsylvania, a UPMC Pinnacle
practice, helps patients reduce pain and live more fully by
treating injuries and illnesses that affect bones, cartilage, muscles,
tendons, joints, and ligaments. Our physicians are fellowship trained
and use state-of-the-art imaging, pain management, and rehabilitation
therapies. They also perform nonsurgical and surgical treatments for
a full range of orthopaedic conditions including:
Musculoskeletal (MSK) Tumor Service
Dr. Parrish offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment for
patients with cancerous and noncancerous musculoskeletal tumors of
the bones and soft tissues. While benign tumors may need observation or limited treatment, malignant tumors often require complex
treatment, sometimes including major reconstruction.
Spine Care
Dr. Vresilovic offers surgical treatment of complex problems of
the spine, including degeneration, deformity, trauma, and tumors
in the neck and back.
Joint Replacement
Our hip, knee, and shoulder replacement program has been highly
successful in helping patients to alleviate pain, improve function,
and restore quality of life. When appropriate, our surgeons perform
minimally invasive Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery. Possible
benefits may include a shorter hospital stay, quicker recovery, and
faster return to normal activities than with traditional surgery.
Sports Medicine and Injury Management
Orthopaedic Specialists of Central Pennsylvania offers a full range
of nonsurgical treatment options-including Tenex, a minimally
invasive, one-time treatment for chronic tendon and plantar fascia
disease-and minimally invasive surgery for faster recovery than
conventional surgery. We offer x-ray services within our facilities
and will coordinate any advanced imaging (MRI, CT scan, bone
scan) that patients need. If surgery is required, we will coordinate
care with one of our fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeons.
