have been advised to consult with their health care provider before
receiving the vaccine.
IF I GET THE VACCINE, DO I STILL NEED TO WEAR A MASK?
The CDC recently updated risk measures, saying that people who
are fully vaccinated may enjoy mask-free time together. However,
masks are still recommended in all public places and anywhere you
may encounter an at-risk unvaccinated person.
Studies show that we need around eight out of every 10 people to
get the vaccine to achieve enough immunity before we can decrease
some of the global risk mitigation measures.

Currently, two of the vaccines with FDA approval are approved
for use in people ages 18 and up, and the Pfizer vaccine is approved
in those ages 16 and up. Several vaccine makers have started trials
that enroll children ages 12 and up. Trials for even younger children
will begin soon. It will take some time for these trials to be completed. For now, we do not know if, or when, we will be vaccinating
children and teens.
