ell, we just came off of a great Annual Dinner & Awards Celebration with an invigorating and informative panel discussion
involving top leaders of the four major health systems in our area.
Although, the discussion certainly did not resolve all the problems
that medical professionals and patients face, the open dialogue suggests that we
are on the right path to improving health care opportunities in the Lancaster
community. The future for health care in our region looks promising.
As we take a breather to enjoy the warm weather and vacation with family, know
that work continues to strengthen and improve health services in Lancaster. This
issue of the Lancaster Physician publication addresses a variety of topics including:
* Dietary Supplements - Helpful or Hype? and What to Consider Before Buying
Health Supplements
* Resurgence of Measles in the U.S., 2019
* Allergy Immunotherapy Offers Patients a "Shot" at Long-term Relief
* Perspectives - Cardiac Care in Lancaster County
Work also continues at PAMED to keep physicians at the forefront of medical
care while trying to lessen the burden of red tape. Preparations are being made
for the next House of Delegates meeting in October to address ongoing matters
in the State of Pennsylvania.
But, for now, take some time over the next couple of months to relax and unwind,
get some sun (but don't forget your sunscreen), and enjoy the great outdoors.
