We were greeted by Bernard Truong who is the co-owner with his
wife Alys. They always make us feel welcome with their warm smiles
and friendly conversation. This restaurant is relatively small, but
the food is delicious and freshly prepared on site by a team of local
chefs. The menu offers a wide variety of traditional Vietnamese
food that is very reasonably priced. The entrées range from salads to
soups and rice platters to Vietnamese sandwiches, with something
for every taste bud.

soup, served with rice noodles. We ordered a side of French bread,
which is great for dipping into the soups and absorbing the flavorful
juices. To drink, my daughter ordered the Soda Chanh, which is a
refreshing drink consisting of seltzer with lime juice and sugar over
ice. For dessert, we ordered the Chocolate Ganache-filled French
Macarons. My favorites are those with crunchy peanut butter and
mint chocolate. It was a sweet ending to a satisfying meal.
Reservations aren't required, but I do recommend arriving early.
Also, make sure your entire group is with you when you arrive.
Parking is located in the back of the restaurant, as is the second
entrance. If you're going for lunch, it gets very busy. You may need
to plan for extra time, but the food is well worth the wait.

I was in the mood for soup on a cold and balmy day, so we decided
to go to Rice & Noodles to satisfy my late lunch craving. My wife
and daughter didn't object; they are regulars at the Lititz pike location. (For those of you that live or work in Lancaster city, there's a
second location called Sprout at 58 N. Prince Street.) For starters
that day, we ordered Cha Gio, which are deep fried Vietnamese egg
rolls with crabmeat, pork, and vegetables. The egg rolls are served
with nuoc mam sauce, which is a light dipping sauce that goes well
with the egg rolls. For my entrée, I ordered the Pho Bo (Beef rice
noodle soup) with Gua (Beef Brisket). The soup is served with a side
of bean sprouts, fresh herbs, limes, and jalapeno peppers, and it is
topped with onion and cilantro. My wife and daughter both opted
for the fall soup, Bun Rieu Cua, which consists of crab and pork
meatballs with deep-fried tofu in a savory tamarind base tomato
