In planning the many events for the year, it was apparent to
me that there are many demands on your precious time - from
work, from home and from other commitments. After much
investigation and thought, we decided to consolidate multiple
events into one large celebration - The MBA Membership
Celebration & Legal Symposium on November 9, 2018. This
day-long program features a Legal Symposium - a collection of
CLE courses on a variety of topics - the Delaware Valley Legal
Expo, and the Annual Membership Celebration in the early
evening. The goal of the event is to allow members of the Bar
and Bench to gather, learn, socialize and celebrate our fifty-year
members with enthusiasm and gusto. Be sure to mark your
calendar as you will not want to miss this memorable event.
As you know, the lifeblood of the MBA is our 4 sections
and 50+ committees. These important committees provide our
members a means to stay abreast of changes in the law, exchange

information and practice tips, develop personal and professional
networks, and affect positive change in the Bar and in the
community. This year, we hope to review our committees and
examine their missions and purposes with the help of members
of the Board of Directors. As Bar Leaders, each member of the
Board will help ensure the continued growth and effectiveness of
these committees, and will foster open communication between
committee chairs and the Board of Directors. The goal is to
promote efficiency, communication and collaboration among the
committees and our members.
On the heels of the Annual Memorial Services where
we honored 16 diverse, talented, and important people, I am
both reflective and truly appreciative. After listening to the
remarkable tributes to these deceased members, I am honored
to call them mentors, role models and colleagues. Each lived
his life with passion, gusto, integrity and purpose. As President
