BRENDAN F. BOYLE
SPEAKS TO MBA REAL
ESTATE COMMITTEE

T

he Real Estate Committee was privileged to have
at its April meeting Congressman Brendan F.
Boyle, Pennsylvania District 13, who presented a
Congressional update CLE.
Congressman Boyle, the son of a janitor and school
crossing guard, attended the University of Notre Dame for
a Bachelor's degree in government, followed by graduate
school at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy's School of
Government where he earned a master's degree in public
policy. Elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives
in 2008, Congressman Boyle was the first Democrat to
represent Pennsylvania's 170th State Legislative District. In
2014, he was elected to Congress by the citizens of the 13th
Congressional District, representing Northeast Philadelphia,
part of North Philadelphia, and approximately half of our
very own Montgomery County.
Among his committee memberships is the House
Committee on Foreign Affairs. The CLE touched on an array
of topics of interest:

Congressman Boyle was heading back to Washington
the day of our CLE for a classified briefing on the Korean
situation.
This was a great opportunity for the program attendees to
hear firsthand what is happening in Washington and beyond.
