We at the Montgomery Bar Association are looking
forward to connecting with you, our members. Team MBA
has capitalized on these past months as a time to " get our
house in order, " literally and figuratively. The Bar Building
opened on July 6, and will be open Monday thru Friday,
8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. We have a new restaurant, The MBA
Café, which opens on July 12 and will be serving breakfast,
8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and lunch 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Be sure to check out the new menu on the MBA website.
We are also hosting an Open House at the MBA Building on
July 21 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. We hope you will join
us and take the opportunity to see the wonderful changes
at the Bar Building - a fresh coat of paint, new pictures -
a blending of the old with the new. There will be a brief inperson
ceremony at 5:00 p.m. to honor the 2021 Law Day
Award recipients.
In addition, we have reviewed our operations to
determine whether our processes can be improved to make
our Association more efficient. Specifically, we continue
to review and refine our Bylaws, as well as creating ad hoc
committees to evaluate specific issues, including how we
as an Association determine when and in what form we
respond to social and political issues. Our Committee
Handbook is being revamped so that it is not only a
directory, but a resource for our committee members.
As we continue to enjoy the lazy days of summer, we
look forward to seeing you at some of our upcoming events.
Our In the Loop lunches return on July 15, with lunch at the
William Penn Inn. This year we are also hosting a Pottstown
Summer Happy Hour on August 12 at The Alley on High
Street. Our Young Lawyers Section will also continue its
tradition of hosting Happy Hours. You do not have to be a
young lawyer to join us for their Summer Cookout & Happy
