schedule includes film screenings
indoors at the GoggleWorks
Center for the Arts Boscov
Theater and the RC/Reading
Movies 11 & IMAX Theater, as
well as an outdoor venue at the
GoggleWorks, and online viewing.

As always, the festival organizers
aim to create an environment that
supports emerging filmmakers
and connects them with our audiences in a meaningful way. While
many festivals have been completely virtual, ReadingFilmFEST has
taken a hybrid approach. Last year, this meant our entire in-person
festival was held at First Energy baseball stadium with many events
only available online. This year, we'd hoped for a wide-open festival
as in past years, but the resurgence of the Delta Variant of Covid-19
has required us, like many large event organizers, to take a more
cautious approach.

All attendees, filmmakers and volunteers attending in-person
indoor events are required to be fully vaccinated. Proof of
vaccination is part of the registration process for all attendees.
Requests for exemptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Those with exemptions must show proof of a negative COVID-19
PCR or antigen test that was sampled from the participant less than
48 hours from the time they arrive at the festival, along with photo
identification.
In addition, ReadingFilmFEST is following the mask protocols of
our venues, encouraging social distancing measures in the theaters,
and sanitizing theaters between viewings. Hand sanitizer stations
are available at all venues. We will follow the CDC guidelines
regarding outdoor events and encourage masking and social
distancing at our outdoor venue.
We continue to monitor and follow CDC and Commonwealth
guidelines and will make adjustments and changes as the science

To accommodate the unvaccinated or those not yet comfortable
with in-person gatherings, the FEST is being held virtually with live
broadcasts and films streamed online.
We hope that by taking these precautions, we will all feel safer
being together, avoid infection, and enjoy the connection that
comes from sharing these wonderful films together!
